Why Zeno Alcohol-Liberated Wines Are the Talk of Dry January (and the Sunday Times)
Share
If you’re looking for Dry January drinks that actually taste good - yep you know not those filled with sugar to mask the lack of alcohol - there’s one Spanish wine collection that deserves centre stage this year: Zeno Alcohol Liberated Low Alcohol Wine. These wines have just been highlighted in The Sunday Times’ roundup of the best alcohol-free alternatives for Dry January, proving that mindful drinking doesn’t mean sacrificing flavour or sophistication.
What Makes Zeno Special?
Unlike many non-alcoholic options that can feel flat or overly sweet, Zeno’s range is crafted much like traditional wine. The grapes are fully fermented and only then gently freed from most of their alcohol - a method the brand calls “alcohol liberation.” This approach preserves texture, complexity and varietal character in a way that’s rare in the low-alcohol space.
What’s even more impressive is that the Sunday Times critic singled out Zeno’s offerings - especially the red - as among the most authentically structured wines in the alcohol-free category. That’s no small compliment in a tasting of more than 50 bottles.
Damp January
Yes this is me - I will be still be enjoying a glass or 2 of wine. I mean come on I'm Lady Grape! However, I still know when I have overdone it a bit and I need to give my poor liver a little rest... you know when the trousers get tighter and my skin dries out!
Personally I am relieved to find an option for January for those days when I'm craving a glass of wine but no I really shouldn't - Zeno is my saviour!
Go on - give it a try! As always let me know what you think.
Cheers,
