A world of fabulous fizz - how to chose?

I love a bit of fizz. There's something about those bubbles - they just make me happy! I will occasionally crack open a bottle of bubbles on a Friday night. After a long week I give myself a pat on the back and celebrate that I have survived the juggle of work and home life! Mostly though, I enjoy fizz with my girlfriends and some boyfriends too!

What I have learnt is that choosing fizz is quite divisive and my friends often have a strong preference. Some find champagne too heavy and flavoursome and others don't enjoy the lightness of prosecco. Some enjoy English sparkling wine but find it too pricey to enjoy often and a few (this is more on the minority) will opt for a Cava if its available and Cremant is the new kid on the black growing in popularity.

I typically have a bottle of champagne and a prosecco in my fridge as I feel that I'm covered then.

My absolute favourite champagne is "Tribaut"; I could personally drink this all day long and I don't chew on it after a few glasses which can be the case with some more well known brands (you may share an opinion on which ones I am referring to)! It has a beautiful depth that is not overly complex. It has a fruitiness to it without being sweet and a fresh and crisp finish that pleasantly and satisfyingly lingers on the palate. For a real treat I'll splash out on the Tribaut Rose!

Tribaut is an award winning Champagne house run by the fourth generation of the family and one of the first to convert to fully organic growing. As a mum who tries to buy organic when my budget and local supermarket allows it, I love this champagne all that more!

The prosecco that I stock on me time wine is of excellent quality. I can't guarantee that it won't give you a sore head because any prosecco in excess will make you feel a little, or very, worse for wear the following morning, but when enjoyed in moderation, #bio won't disagree with you! It's organic too so it'd healthy, right? So you can still wake up the next day to cope with the little critters and the mundane chat with the other mums on a Saturday morning at football or rugby.
